Progressive Cavity Pumps by Fluid Pumps

Fluid Pumps are one of the largest resellers of progressive cavity pumps and spares in the UK, we have over 35 years’ experience supplying progressive cavity pumps.  The knowledge extends to all aspects of pump selection, problem solving, installation and maintenance.

Progressive Cavity Pumps By Fluid Pumps

Fluid Pumps are proud to be a premier supplier of progressive cavity pumps, macerators and grinders.

The Progressive Cavity Pump Principle

The progressive cavity pump principle is ideal for handling slurries, viscous, shear sensitive or two or tri phase mixtures or when applications require, significant suction lift capabilities.

Our range of progressive cavity pumps is ideally suited for both low to high flow applications and also allows for the development of multi-stage pumps that increase the pressure handling capabilities.

The heart of the Progressive cavity pump is the rotor and stator. As the single helix rotor revolves eccentrically within the double helix of the stator, a continuous cavity is formed and progresses towards the discharge end of the pump as the rotor rotates.

Pump Range

Industry

Fluid Pumps offer a full range of progressing cavity pumps, macerators and grinders for a number of different industries, such as –

Chemical & Pharmaceutical, Environmental, Mining & Mineral Processing, Water & Wastewater, Paper & Pulp, Food & Beverage, Solar & Agricultural and Oilfield industry solutions.

In addition to the supply of new PC pumping equipment, Fluid Pumps offers a complementary range of services designed to assist you from initial selection and throughout the life of your equipment, to ensure long, trouble-free operation.

Environmental Industry

Progressive cavity pumps has a growing reputation in the anaerobic digestion and biogas industries. A customer and application focussed approach has allowed the company to develop products which offer significant advantages to this sector. These include progressing cavity pumps that transfer waste material from food production, reducing the need for manual waste handling.

Food & Beverage

Fluid Pumps approach to selecting the best product for the food and beverage industry ensures that you get an individual and tailored solution that’s right for your process.  We can test and analyse a sample to identify the correct material selection for a hygienic or non-hygienic pump.  We can also supply a macerator to prevent pump, or pipework blockages or utilise the advantages of the progressing cavity pump principle to avoid damage to a shear sensitive product.

General Industry

Almost every field of industry involves a variety of positive pumping duties, many of which are extremely demanding.  These duties demand the ability to pump fluids with solids in suspension as well as the ability to handle corrosive, abrasive, highly viscous and sensitive products. These and many other requirements are met by the Mono pump ranges and are complemented by our Munchers for maceration of solids within a flow to help protect pumps and help process systems.

Water & Waste Water

The principle design of the progressive cavity pump has evolved to provide an efficient and reliable transfer pump, when processing waste water.  Fluid Pumps have the expertise to select the correct materials to avoid wear and prolong the life of your product.

Fluid Pumps also understand that solids within the flow can cause pipework and pump blockages and therefore we offer macerators and grinders to eliminate this problem.  Fluid Pumps can design and manufacture a packaged solution that’s right for your process.

Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals

When selecting a pump to handle viscous, thixotropic, corrosive, free-flowing or liquids containing solids in suspension, the correct materials of construction are paramount.

At Fluid Pumps, we have the experience of progressive cavity pumps market to offer the right solution when you need to transfer these varying fluids. Low pump speeds help to maintain the characteristics of the product being pumped and for any solids present in the flow, a grinder unit can prevent pump or pipework blockages and keep your process operational.

Pump Spares

When evaluating the purchase of a new progressive cavity pump, Fluid Pumps understand the lifetime cost is of the utmost importance.  The quality and fit of key components drive the reliability and durability of the pump.  Fluid Pumps supply aftermarket spares for a variety of different manufacturers at very competitive prices and hold stock of parts which can be dispatched the same day.

Parts are manufactured utilising superior materials, heat treatment processes and coatings for your particular application.  Fluid Pumps have a spare parts team to help you select the correct parts when carrying out routine maintenance and in the event of an unexpected breakdown.

Progressive Cavity Pump Repairs

At Fluid Pumps we have many years’ experience in the repair of different types of progressive cavity pumps and macerators and provide the complete in-house repair service enabling us to guarantee levels of quality and service at a competitive, cost effective price.

Fluid Pumps have a first class facility, skills and experience to handle all aspects of your pump repair that allows us to be a one-stop shop.

We can handle dismantling and assembly of pump units, mechanical reworking, electrical testing and rewinding of motors and seal refurbishment.

Quotations

Fluid Pumps provide a comprehensive quotation prior to proceeding with the repair.  This includes tagging each unit with a unique number for full traceability throughout each stage, an itemised list of what we are replacing along with photographs of the main wearing parts.  In addition, where possible we also provide feedback as to the root cause of failure and recommendations to prevent future occurrences.

After approval our experienced engineers will clean, re-assemble the pump to the manufacturer’s standards, test and paint the pump or macerator.

Genuine Parts

All the spares that Fluid Pumps use are genuine manufacturers parts and will be suited to the pump type that is in for repair.  All spares are bought directly from the factory and are of high quality and will replace the existing parts like for like.
