Blackmer SNP Series
SNP Series pumps, which are part of the Stainless Line of sliding vane pumps, are capable of meeting these demands because they offer the flexibility needed to handle clean, non-corrosive liquids at varying temperatures, pressures and viscosities. This allows them to be used in various loading/unloading and transfer applications, while the stainless-steel construction of the SNP model makes its ideal for handling a variety of corrosive or caustic fluids, which is a crucial consideration in the manufacture and shipping of biodiesel.
With flow rates of 75 to 275 U.S. gpm (178 to 1,040 L/min) and standard operating temperatures of -25°F to 350°F (-31°C to 177°C), the SNP 2- and 3-in pumps offer the best combined characteristics of sustained high-level performance, energy efficiency, trouble-free operation and low maintenance cost.
Features
316 stainless steel construction with metallized carbon sleeve bearings and non-metallic vanes for longer life with corrosive products
Use of nonmetallic sliding vanes and reversible carbon discs within the pump reduces friction and eliminates galling
Optional commercial mechanical seal with stainless steel, carbon, and PTFE construction
Optional Triple-lip cartridge seal available
Shaft stuffing box accommodates most standard aftermarket mechanical seal configurations
Jacketed pump head option for high temperature operation
Pump design and operation minimizes shear and agitation
Symmetrical bearing support assures even loading and wear for long life
Adjustable relief valve protects pump against excessive pressures
Advantages of sliding vane technology:
Unique sliding-vane pump design self-adjusts for wear to maintain flow rates
Excellent self-priming and dry run capabilities
Sliding vane design provides sustained performance and trouble-free operation
Easy maintenance: vanes can be easily replaced without removing the pump from the piping system
High suction lift and line stripping capabilities
Low maintenance and low life cycle costs
Applications
Corrosive or caustic fluids:
Sugars
Syrups
Beer
Beet juice
